STEVEN MARLEY
Long Story Short
By M. Peggy Quattro
Vol. 12#4 - 1994

Steven Marley, the youngest son of Bob and Rita Marley, has grown up in full sight of the entire world.  From the time he was a toddler, Steven toured with his parents.  He is most remembered for his captivating on-stage dancing that was ignited by his father's blazing rhythms, resulting in a musical fire which still burns quietly inside this shy, talented Marley.

Steve, like his brother Ziggy, is not much for talking, so I was pleased when in Miami recently, staying with his grandmother Cedella Booker, he consented to an interview.  Steve and his granny have always been very close, and now they are working together in the studio on Cedella Booker's forthcoming album, which he is producing.

Ms. B's household was a whir of activity as her grandsons Ziggy, Rohan and Robbie were in that evening, along with her son Richard, nephew Jimmy, various friends, and several children.  Steve, known to his crew as "Ragga," was releaxed amidst the hubbub as we settle in to talk.  To read more, download now!
